Today, #GIVINGTUESDAY, a global generosity movement, we are raising funds and awareness towards local "food deserts".
A food desert is a pocket of communities that have little or no access to healthy food within a mile of their home. Many of those communities do not have a car or accessible public transportation.
In 2021, USDA reported 38.3 million people are food insecure in America (Food Insecurity in the U.S.: Frequency of Food Insecurity) and EPA.Gov predicted that number to grow to 50 million in 2022. That would mean that 1 in 6.6 Americans struggle to eat daily.
All it takes is a seed to change a community.

Global Development (GloDev) is a 501(c)(3) charitable enterprise that was established in 2012 to help the poor help themselves both in the USA and around the world. GloDev has worked in many countries conducting training in sustainable development and building micro-farms. All projects are locally resourced and locally owned. All materials are locally resourced to maintain a sustainable model.
This #givingtuesday we are raising funds to grow food and combat local "food deserts". A food desert is a pocket of communities that have little or no access to healthy food. Will you consider a generous gift towards our efforts to help the poor help themselves?
Thank you for your partnership!
